Seventeen years, three aquarists

Between us, we bring over 17 years of experience in the aquarium hobby, including 10 years of building custom aquariums and 12 years of maintaining planted aquariums. Years spent experimenting with aquascaping, plant propagation, and aquarium husbandry taught us one simple lesson — healthy plants are the foundation of every successful aquascape.

From a single tank to a farm

BuceStudio itself is a young company, established in 2025, but its roots go back much further. It all started with a single tank and an obsession with Bucephalandra — the slow-growing, iridescent rheophytes native to Borneo's fast-flowing streams.

What began as collecting rare varieties gradually evolved into developing propagation techniques, and eventually into a dedicated aquatic plant farm in India.

How we grow

Every plant in our catalog is propagated in-house. We do not resell plants from other growers, and we do not collect from the wild. Instead, our plants are cultivated under carefully controlled emersed conditions for approximately six months before they are packed and shipped.

This slower approach allows plants to develop stronger root systems, healthier foliage, and greater resilience during transport and transition into customers' aquariums.

A year behind the scenes

For our first year, we focused exclusively on supplying wholesalers, refining our cultivation methods and production capacity behind the scenes. We are now excited to make the same farm-grown quality available directly to hobbyists across India.
